    Chengdu,where is its culture?

Chengdu, is located in the fertile plains of western Sichuan province. Due to its agricultural wealth Chengdu is sometimes called "Land of Milk and Honey". And today, it is famous for three factors-Panda,food and beauty.
After the training of Oracle, The advisor is a guy from Shanghai. He likes Chengdu very much, certainly includes food and beauty. When we spoke of real estate investment of Chengdu, he falls into smile. "  I envy you very much."he says. And I can understand it just for estate. But I wanna argue that.
I live in Chengdu for long time. Chengdu is nearly a thousand miles south of Shanghai, but somethings makes me feel it is the other way round – not geographically, of course, but sensually. It is a temperamental, imaginative, half-imaginary shift from one metaphysical climate to another.
"Do you like Chengdu?" I asked the advisor. He agreed this city and even admired this city. " But why you don't change the job to Chengdu?", he shaked his head. Why? " When your young, don't stay in this city, and it can engulf your will." Is this culture of Chengdu? When you old, you can enjoy this food beauty and even travel.
There is to Shanghai an element of hedonism alien to Chengdu, and an unwelcome one, I would imagine, to the policy-makers of Beijing. They want this tremendous city, once notorious for its westernised decadence, to be an allegorical projection of the resurgent Chinese power that for so long lay dormant in humiliation. So it is packed with the prosperity, vanity and dirty. But for Chengdu? I think it is studying this.
